Natasha Muluswela

Can you believe these drawings were created with colored pencils and graphite?! We are blown away by the bold imagery created by Zimbabwe born Natasha Muluswela.

Inspired by people and their perceptions of beauty, she celebrates and questions what is seen as beautiful while embracing something unique in each person she draws. With great care and attention to detail, she focuses on imperfections by recreating conditions that may be seen as irregular or shameful. She flawlessly recreates stretch marks, vitiligo, and signs of aging. Their marks and hue on each person crafting a unique part of human existence.

Through her work, Muluswela calls the viewer to celebrate and embrace the imperfections that make us unique.

Muluswela lives and works in the United Kingdom. You can see more on Instagram and her website
